The project WIMBY – Wind In My BackYard invites you to a new interactive webinar exploring the social and environmental dimensions of wind energy.
This webinar will showcase models and tools developed within the WIMBY project, designed to help planners, researchers, and citizens understand and visualise the multiple impacts of wind energy projects — from health, noise, and shadow flicker, to landscape changes, life cycle analysis (LCA), and regulatory frameworks.
- Objective: Present and discuss the models developed within WIMBY to assess socio-environmental impacts.
- Highlight: A live demo of the WIMBY Interactive Map – see how different impacts are mapped and connected.
- Date: 3 November 2025, 10:00 CET | Online
- Keynote speaker: Cristina Lopez Madrid (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).
Join us for an engaging and informative session where science, technology, and participation meet to foster more inclusive and sustainable wind energy planning in Europe.
