Brian Ohrbeck Hansen from DTU presented a project poster at the Wind Europe conference in Bilbao last week. The poster included a summary of the project’s early results, especially related to how the interactive map will be help all different potential users investigate the wind-power deployment potential by considering visual landscape impacts, noise, biodiversity, or land use competition. Such on-the-fly evaluations shall help different groups in their decision-making. The abstract and a short video presentation “Involving local communities in decision-making processes and planning of wind power deployment in virtual reality environments” are already available on the Wind Europe official website, in their section dedicated to research projects.
The poster is available to download in our “Resources” section.
