The WIMBY Wind Power Assessment Tool is an API that estimates the potential of wind farms in Europe. The API considers wind resources, wind farm boundaries, and user-provided turbine specifications for any European region. Currently, the tool is designed to optimise the annual energy production of the wind farm by utilising the TOPFARM integrated wind farm model. This report provides a comprehensive description of the WIMBY Wind Power Assessment Tool and its development process. It also outlines the processing of exclusion zones and the LCOE model developed at DTU Wind.
